THAT'S RICH...COMING FROM YOU!: A callback to last weeks advertisement gave me some pleasure. I'm a bit confused by who is speaking when at times. Got it though. They're worried about Reyn.

MUM'S THE WORD: Past tense, then present tense, then past tense, then present tense. Sometimes within the same paragraph! This needs work. Again... we write present tense, 3rd person, novel format.

HIT THAT ALERT BUTTON!: Little details like the girls wince help build E Z Rah's character. A true slime ball. I hate and love him in equal measure.

A DANGERFIELD MOMENT: Love how many people are grasping this on/off location stuff now and using it to their advantage. Good intensity but some kind of typo in there; "The man who i smor ethan a man when he is in a fight." - shame. And a second "get ouf of here". I get it though, Gemini has beaten Reyn and wants his respect. Lots of people putting Reyn over early on in the show.

JUST FOR KICKS: No idea who Angel is talking to, where this is set, no scene is built for me. Also, isn't it "holmes", not homes? I think homes is an alternative spelling but the l is silent in pronunciation. I feel like more emphasis could be put on the opponent/angle in this one, but it moves things along a little.

MAKE NO BONES ABOUT IT: Intense. I loved it.

DIFFERENT GRAVY: Sets up the main event neatly. Alfie has something to prove, can he do it?

THE DREAM JOB: I bet Daniel Dream is in this one. Oh. It's Crossover and Big Aug. Ah, I see! Crossover is going to be on commentary. Okie dokie. Don't know much about him at this point, but a match analyst is a good idea for GLOBAL. Fits well and look forward to seeing what comes of it. Love his positive energy!

OLD MAN YELLS AT CLOUD: I have no idea who is in this segment, but clearly one of them is an alien.

THE PRICE OF FRIENDSHIP: VIP is AWOL and we have 2 new faces about to descend on GLOBAL... Or have they already? Amazing what a few words can do here. Essentially it's flash fiction in length but tells so much.

THE LEGEND SPEAKS: Sets up the main event nicely. Reyn is getting a lot of airtime so far without even appearing.

A CHAT WITH THE MASTER SISTERS: Great artwork. Love seeing these. The Master Sisters bicker like kids. I don't feel like the chair banter was a hit personally. Pun very much intended, but I get the picture - they squabble a lot. Alecsander gets called out. I wonder if this will lead to a match next week or not?

STARTING THE FIRE: Builds on the feud well enough over a short segment. Well written.

THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH: Interesting character and I look forward to seeing where it goes. I assume this is the alien from earlier in the show? Some sentences in this piece are incredibly long.

Alex Reyn v Gemini: I don't usually review matches, but I noticed no entrances on this one. What gives?

RETIREMENT PLANS: I have no idea why this segment was required or what it achieves, but it was well written nonetheless.

EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE: I am concerned Disney might come after us for some kind of copyright infringement, but hey... that's a Keegan problem. Not sure on the word "then" at the beginning. What's that for? Did I miss a match? Why are The Master Sisters coming through the curtain backstage talking about a match? Ah, the word "now" makes things clear. I think the time needed to be better labelled. Anyway, looks like we've got a match booked.

PHYSICAL CHALLENGE COMPETITION: This basically went how I imagined lol. Really good segment and I think this is the tag angle of GLOBAL right now. Really enjoying it.

PREPARE FOR TROUBLE...AND MAKE IT DOUBLE: A new team have arrived on the scene. It'll be interesting to see what they have to offer. Ending the show indicates it'll be something big.

Apologies for sloppy errors on my part in advance. I knew the show would be shorter than 3, and I'm okay with that.
Anyway, let's remember PRESENT tense, please. And, Show 5 will be going up HOURS after the deadline, so we won't wait on anything for that.

That’s Rich…: Opener that does what it needs to, give or take a few grammatical niggles. What really hindered the reading experience, however, was when Declan ends a sentence with ‘he’ll…’ and then somebody asks ‘OR what?’ when nobody said ‘or’ at any point.

Mum’s The Word: Tense troubles. I don’t mean tensions between everyone’s favourite canon ship – everything's coming up Alfie on that front. I mean past tense, which shows up for half the segment. Otherwise, another cute development in the Amber Button relationship. Also, not sure if it was intentional, but Alfie saying Amber’s Mum’s name over and over every two seconds struck me as a very British-person-being-polite touch.

Hit that Alert Button!: E Z Rah shows up in long form for the first time, and it turns out he works in this format, too. Also, Ezra? No wonder he changed the spelling.

War: HUH! WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR? As it turns out, an outstandingly written segment that makes me be slightly terrified of freaking DORITOS MAN.

A Dangerfield Moment: Good segment from Gemini, which shows some of his personality. Though he needs to fix his autocorrect, as Alex Reyn apparently ‘I smor ethan’ a man…

Just For Kicks: If I’d known Bianca’s match was the opener, I would have ended the segment with Angel and Saul going into the arena as initially planned. Otherwise, just more evidence of Angel’s thought patterns, and Saul’s (lack of) trust in her judgement. Hopefully, it worked.

Principe v Bianca: This match went on for longer in my head – but it’s all about that post-match for me. Hopefully, people like this development, too. I am HYPE for this match.

Make No Bones About It: …wait, so Crusader X is NOT faking the whole ‘openly neutral, unfazed by everything’ attitude? There's no long con at play here? He genuinely is this much of a babyface? Also, excellent confrontation at the end, and the wrap-up was outstanding. Big Jake the Snake vibes coming off X at that moment. Kid Chameleon BETTER be scared…

Different Gravy: Alfie being Alfie. Not much more to It, but I don’t think there was meant to be.

X vs Kid: Short match, but with no shortage of markout moments, mostly derived from X basically having the moveset of a WWE 2k CAW. I confess it took me a while to understand why him catching the backfist was so significant, but when the coin dropped, I marked out. More exciting than a showcase match has any right to be, so good job to whoever wrote it.

Famine: He ate him! And now he’s going to eat ME! OH MY GOOOOOO----!! (Seriously, though…WHAT did I just read?)

The Dream Job: A new addition to the commentary team? Exciting! Big Aug continues to be likeable, in another slice-of-life segment that does its job of further familiarizing the reader with its characters.

Dream vs Wall: Okay, so, this match…was this written by someone not altogether familiar with GLOBAL? It feels like it when there is stuff like this: ‘Every time The Great Wall has pinned someone in GLOBAL, he’s won the match’. Technically not incorrect, but Wall has had all of one…erm, was that even a match last time? What bothers me the most, however, is Wall needing to use a chair on Dream. Since when do monster heels need to be sneaky? Decent match otherwise, but lacking that ‘GLOBAL flavour’. That said, Jabari did a good job on commentary – I liked how his sentences were often just clusters of loosely related statements (‘Ginormous. Seven foot two. The Wall.’) as that is something you do often hear in real wrestling shows.

Old Man Yells at Cloud: One giant Simpsons reference, further introducing The Man Who Fell to Earth and setting up his newly single status following the now sadly official demise of the XBI. Hopefully, people have fun with it. Oh, and they're not aliens - they're more like sci-fi spacemen.

The Price of Friendship: I sincerely hope VIP is okay, after what transpired last week. Also, an investigation…ooohhhh…

The Legend Speaks: …and speaks well, delivering an above-average old-school promo which does what it needs to do and, unlike what so often happens in e-wrestling, does not overstay its welcome. Everybody, take notes: this is a masterclass from an old hand, both in terms of character and handler

A Chat With The Master Sisters: I LOVE this trio, and they are in fine form here. A laugh-out-loud showcase of what Crash can truly do – and hey, I appreciate the shout-out, my fellow Portugeezer! (Insert GIF of Captain America saying he understood that reference.) The classic Masters dynamic being presented to an entirely new audience here, and I hope people enjoy it as much as I did when it was first presented to me…jeez, EIGHT years ago now!? The chair sponsorship gag in particular killed me – I love when people pick up on accidental trends and details and run with them. It makes for the best moments. Also, nice foreshadowing that no one but me will get… Outstanding segment all in all, probably my favourite so far this show.

Starting The Fire: WOW. What a great scene. Amazing antagonist chemistry between these two, and the heat radiates off the page/screen. I am suddenly really invested in this feud, and I wish Twitter was a thing with GLOBAL so I could have Saul reach out to Valorie about what Jed said.

Amber vs Paul: I still wish GPW and its G.O.D stable were still around whenever I read Amber. Short showcase match which, again, is more gripping than a match of this type has any right to be, especially with Paul’s attempts at diversifying his style (or implementing a new one, perhaps) and the potential reasons behind that decision from someone who is no longer as spry as they once were. I did do a double-take at Allie’s heel turn towards the end, though – does she just not like Alfie, or is there something more behind her final statement…? Food for potential storyline thought…

The Man Who Fell to Earth: I am having more fun with segments for GLOBAL than I have in a LONG time with efed stuff. This is another example, and further introduces GLOBAL’s newest villain, and resident anti-woke conspiracy nutjob – and maybe a couple of other people, as well. Reading it back, I let a few typos slip…oops.

Strength Competition: Starts off like that Dino Bravo and Ken Patera thing from (I think) Wrestlemania II, then it gets interesting as Alecz shows his true colours. THIS feud is quickly getting interesting, as well. Also, judging by Alecz’s remarks, Seth is not the only one who enjoys playing with himself…

Reyn vs Gemini: …what did Gemini THINK was going to happen? The East Wind collects another victim, and he should probably change his name to The Reaper if he continues to actually murder people this way… The match itself did not need to happen – everything it establishes was more than sufficiently established already – but damn if it isn’t effective.

Pestilence: ‘For what you had to endure, and what you have put others through…’ Sorry, reflex reaction. Anyway…is…is Doritos GOD now? Holy not-swear word for public television, what the HELL am I reading here?

Retirement Plans: This time, it fell to US to draw the short straw and have to follow up that segment. Anyway, hope people like it – especially the couple of cameos in it, for both GPW people AND SCW people…

Episode IV: A New Hope: Crash, that was a WORKING title, dude! Anyway, the Adventures of Pete and Pete continue, as the Pedros tag-team yet again, and have just as much fun as last time – while also advancing their angle in a meaningful way. I know Keegan liked this one – hopefully, everyone else does, too.

EZ vs Alf: The literal comedy feud escalates, as Jerry gets some payback on EZ for his actions two weeks ago. Fantastic impromptu brawl which officially makes this the most heated feud in GLOBAL. Although…I have to ask…HOW was that match still going after all that time? Shouldn’t the referee have called it off straight away? Still…good on Alf. A literal handout to pad his record. Well done.

Death: Pratchett gets aptly ripped off and crossed with Bill and Ted before an unexpected ending. Doritos has literally just cheated Death – apparently for the 1,818th time.

Physical Competition: Second segment of this type in one show, which is unusual. And this one does not go entirely as planned, either. I fully expected both sides to draw, escalating the need for one-upmanship, but this works as well. What does not work is the segment suddenly going to past tense towards the end…

Main Event: A match where the result was never in any doubt, so the main question would be how well Alfie would fare against the man with all the hype. And the answer is: better than could have been imagined, forcing Our Lord and Saviour Darring into a flash pin victory. It is now quite clear what the World Title tournament final will be, which is a shame, but still one of the best matches (though almost by default) of a show which feels a lot like early-period RAW, with a lot of early squash matches and one true feature presentation at the end (two, in this case). Again, though, is Allie supposed to be the heel commentator, and/or not get on with her colleagues?

Prepare for Trouble: Jessie and James are coming. Seriously, guys, pink hair and blue hair. Only thing missing is Meowth. Anyway, they think they’re much hotter shit than they are. Trust me.

FINAL THOUGHTS: Another solid show, though in my opinion not as good as #3. Though segment placement is all correct and accounted for this time, past tense rears its ugly head more than once, which people really do need to pay attention to. Angles are uniformly starting to heat up, and the hype train is well and truly rolling en route to the supershow. All aboard!

BEST MATCH: The impromptu brawl between EZ and JD.

BEST SEGMENT: Dorito’s unfathomable dystopian-apocalypse saga.

BEST ANGLE: JD and EZ Rah.

BEST LINE OF THE NIGHT: Toss-up between ‘YOU’RE JUST MAD NONE OF YOU WORK AS HARD AS I DO AT TUGGING!’ and anything Carnival Dawn Master says in her interview.

THAT RICH… COMING FROM YOU!: Rich Family is holding the show starting role again. Alex Reyn comes up; he is a big topic right now in GLOBAL. It transitions to the Master Sisters - a good opening segment for an important story in GLOBAL. You have to assume at the first PPV, we will see a rematch of some sort.

MUM’S THE WORD: More Alfie and Amber story building. I am not sure where this is going to go eventually. Will they feud? Will they become an item? Will Amber become some crazy stalker? Who knows, but there are endless opportunities for the story.

HIT THAT ALERT BUTTON!: E Z Rah has grown on me a little more every show. He is the heel you love to hate, for sure. We all are rooting for Jerry to slap the hell out of him on the PPV.

WAR: Is this the new Rambo script leaked on a Domination show? The question is - shall they dine on Doritos?

A DANGERFIELD MOMENT: Ooh, a Gemini segment; I always enjoy a well-timed enhancement/NPC segment. Hahaha .. “F you, kids.” Line of the night, perhaps? I enjoyed this way more than I probably should have. Alex Ryen is going to kill G-Dawg.

JUST FOR KICKS: Angel running down the Queen. Some good lines in there and visuals while eating chicken legs; looking forward to seeing where this goes. I get lost in the constant dialog; it works better for me with some scene additions, but I am still adjusting to this style, so it could just be me.

EL PRINCIPE V ‘QUEEN’ BIANCA DAVIS: I think El Principe is a fun character, and it always makes me sad to see him in “job” duty. We have Lucha royalty vs. the Queen, though, so that is sort of a fun little side story for this match. It was a well-done match; both characters looked solid inside the ring. Angel comes down post-match and builds on their story. A street fight, eh? That seemed to escalate quickly. Queen is above such a match, though!

MAKE NO BONES ABOUT IT: I enjoyed this quite a bit. That is back-to-back shows with good segments for Crusader X. It set up his debut match nicely and hints at a possible feud with Alfie. A lot of simple wrestling storytelling here in this segment.

DIFFERENT GRAVY: Good Aflie segment. I dug it simple but effective. It felt like a classic late 80s wrestling segment where Alfie built up the match with Darring.

CRUSADER X V KID CHAMELEON: Alfie on commentary - man, whose name has been mentioned more, Reyn or Alfie, on this show so far? X wins convincingly, and the fast, intense nature was put over for it to make even more of an impact.

FAMINE: Okay, we need an Alex Reyn vs. Doritos Man match to find out who the craziest SOB is.

THE DREAM JOB: I am probably not alone in thinking this would be a Daniel Dream segment, and I had to do a double take when it was Big Aug. Things make more sense as I read through it. Well, I didn’t see that coming.

DANIEL DREAM V THE GREAT WALL: Wow, Dream is facing The Great Wall in his 2nd match? Interesting booking choice. Dream continues to look like trillion dollars. The last show, The Wall, looked dominant. What will you do with The Wall after this?

OLD MAN YELLS AT CLOUD: Okay, look, the writer is good… He/she can write! I don’t know what the context here is. Inside jokes? I know nothing! I am just lost. I feel like an Old Man reading this segment.

THE PRICE OF FRIENDSHIP: A short little bit to add more intrigue to the VIP situation… Then a second phone call happens, and we find out GLOBAL is being investigated. We are probably being investigated because Gemini said F them kids.

THE LEGEND SPEAKS: I wrote it, so I won’t say much. I tried to keep it short and simple and sell the match and things going on in GLOBAL.

A CHAT WITH THE MASTER SISTERS: A chat with the tag champs with our favorite backstage journalist, Tobias. I think Tobias Bellamy adds a unique experience for handlers having a handled backstage interviewer to collaborate with. We got a window into the tag champs. Well done.

STARTING THE FIRE: Valorie and Jed’s feud continues to build. Entertaining dialog between the two.

AMBER LEE V PAUL SANDERS: Lee squashes this Paul Sanders guy. I sort of like Allie gushing for Amber Lee.

THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH: Okay, if this is connected to the earlier segment, this helps me feel less confused. Let’s see where this goes. A new wrestler and the writing is top-notch.

ALECZANDER THE GREAT VS. BIG AUG STRENTH COMPETITION: This was fun. It had an 80s WWF feel to it for sure - it reminded me of the Warrior and Rude’s segments a bit. A lot of fun, and it added more intrigue to the feud. I think this did a lot for Big Aug in it. Aleczander has already been a fan favorite for readers.

ALEX REYN V GEMINI: I am totally rooting for Gemini, but I know he has no chance. A short and sweet demise of the legend Gemini. We all mourn this segment.

PESTILENCE: More Doritos Man … Doritos is really invested in GLOBAL. I want to see a picture of Doritos Man. I view him like a roided-up Carrot Top.

RETIREMENT PLANS: Knowing some of the characters from SCW, I had fun reading this segment. I admit I have no clue where it’s leading me, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE: Segment title aside, this was a good segment by another team in GLOBAL’s stacked tag team division.

E Z RAH VS ALF ALFERSON: Two of the silliest names facing off against one another. I got a kick out of E Z’s ring get-up - Boxing robe covered with NFT characters. Jerry David shows up, as expected, and gives ALF the victory. With Gemini now in the hospital, we can all root for Alf Alferson!

DEATH: I don’t know the purpose of all this Doritos stuff, but reading was a joy.

PHYSICAL CHALLENGE COMPETITON: Another one of my segments and I must apologize to the handlers of Aug and Aleczander. I did not mean to steal the thunder from your earlier strength competition segment. If I had known that the timing would be so terrible for this segment - I would have called an audible. Also, why did I start writing the end in the past tense? I am a goof, and re-reading it annoys me.

MAIN EVENT - ‘LEGEND’ SEAN DARRING V ALFIE BUTTON: Another well-done respectful match similar to Best vs. Darring. I enjoyed the back-and-forth action and the ending. I think both men came out looking good. I am appreciative of the effort the match writer gave this.

PREPARE FOR TROUBLE… AND MAKE IT DOUBLE: A new team to an already stacked tag division. Curious about the placement of the segment, but hey makes them feel like a big deal.


OVERALL THOUGHTS:

The Good: Another fun show. It was a really easy read and a lot of fun segments that continue to build angles heading into the go-home show for the PPV.

Tag Division really feels special.
Aleczander and Big Aug segment was a lot of fun.
Alex Reyn’s name and heat were all over the show.
Crusader X has had back-to-back good showings.
Feuds and Angles! Feuds and Angles!
I have no clue why there was so much Doritos Man, but they were fun to read.

I am disappointed with my Physical Competition segment after seeing the Strength Competition. I could/should have called an audible.

Was it as good as the last show? Not from a match vs. match standpoint, but every show is different. This one continues to evolve stories and characters.

BEST MATCH: EL PRINCIPE V 'QUEEN' BIANCA DAVIS

BEST SEGMENT: HIT THAT ALERT BUTTON!

BEST ANGLE: Aurora, Dawn and Moonlight Master doing whatever. Dawn has become my favorite little gremlin character.

BEST LINE: Technically two lines but it's my feedback, I get to bend the rules.

"Hey E Z? Is that gun real?"

"Don’t worry about it man, you gotta loosen up, you’re so uptight."

ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT: A certain someone, I'm not naming names, K̷e̷e̷g̷a̷n̷ forgot a certain ad but otherwise a great show. I have no complaints at all besides minor nitpicks of typos.

THAT'S RICH… COMING FROM YOU!: Kicking off the show with some Reyn stuff again, again pushing how dangerous he is. Serves its purpose.

MUM’S THE WORD: This story feels like it's going to be a bit of a slow burn which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Be interesting to see where it goes when it starts picking up some steam.

HIT THAT ALERT BUTTON!: E Z is a very different character from what i'm used to writing so this was a bit of an experiment to see if it'll work for longer segments. I'm happy with how it came out personally, gave everyone a bit more of an insight into his day to day and highlighted what an ass he is.

WAR/Doritos: I'll just review the whole doritios saga as a whole: Incredible. If Doritos man isn't world champ by the end of the previous show i'm rioting.

A DANGERFIELD MOMENT: I enjoy Gemini but I think we can all see where this is going from a mile off, I'm hoping for a few swerves in this storyline to keep it interesting.

JUST FOR KICKS: I am really enjoying Angel as a character thus far. Her character is unlike anything else we have in Global which really helps her stand out. A fun segment, keep it up!

EL PRINCIPE V ‘QUEEN’ BIANCA DAVIS: A competitive match but we all knew the Queen would reign supreme. How did Angel get to the arena so fast? (I know it was probably segment issues dw) Good interaction at the end and a nice set up, didn't think the Queen would be dragged down to a street level fight this early on, felt like things should have escalated a bit first but either way it'll be a great match!

MAKE NO BONES ABOUT IT: Good storyline development and character growth here from X. Lots of brooding, .

DIFFERENT GRAVY: Alfies cockey speech will always make me laugh as I can't help but picture Dick Van Dyke from Mary Poppins. This works well as a set up though.

CRUSADER X V KID CHAMELEON: Was fairly good as squash matches go, I expected a bit more of a fight out of Kid Chameleon after the previous segment. Alfie worked well on commentary.

THE DREAM JOB: Big Aug always comes off as likeable and was a good way to introduce a new member to the crew.

DANIEL DREAM V THE GREAT WALL: Really confusing premise, we introduce someone last show and set them up as a monster and have them lose their second match. I'm a big fan of Dream so it worked well to put him over but Wall lost a lot of credibility.

OLD MAN YELLS AT CLOUD: Is this drugs? Is this what drugs feels like?

THE PRICE OF FRIENDSHIP: RIP VIP. Already created a bit of interest for the investigation storyline.

THE LEGEND SPEAKS: Does well to set up the main event. Personal preference would have been for Reyn to be mentioned first so it doesn't look like he's a bigger focus than Alfie.

A CHAT WITH THE MASTER SISTERS: Fantastic artwork at the start, nice insight into the champs and their unusual dynamic.

STARTING THE FIRE: Continues the feud nicely, give some good character development naturally embedded in a conversation so this worked.

AMBER LEE V PAUL SANDERS: Pretty standard, one sided win for Amber. Looking forward to when she gets a real challenge.

THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH: Good to see a bit of clarity from the earlier segment. Very different from everything else going on in Global so I always love to read stuff against the efed norms.

ALECZANDER THE GREAT VS. BIG AUG STRENGTH COMPETITION: Great old school segment that went about as well as the average contract signing. With everyone pretty high on Aleczander already it was absolutely the right call to highlight Big Aug a bit more.

ALEX REYN V GEMINI: RIP Gemini. Should be we recruiting more? Or Feeding Reyn homeless guys?

RETIREMENT PLANS: I didn't get a lot of the stuff that was going on here but I have a feeling I wasn't meant to.

EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE: Another enjoyable segment setting up some more tag team action. Global has such a strong tag team devision and segments like this are always fun to read.

E Z RAH VS ALF ALFERSON: My absolutely favourite part about this is that with minimal planning between Scott we managed to get on the same page about what kind of match we wanted this to be. A lot of wrestlers in Global are precise, methodical and have incredible technique in the ring. We just wanted 2 guys to sloppily beat the hell out of each other and make it look as painful as possible. Very fun to write.

PHYSICAL CHALLENGE COMPETITION: It's unfortunate that we got two of these physical challenge style segments in one show but this one also went well and pushed the story forward naturally.

‘LEGEND’ SEAN DARRING V ALFIE BUTTON: Really competitive match that showcased both men well. Think the right person went over.

PREPARE FOR TROUBLE… AND MAKE IT DOUBLE: Another tag team incoming! Not sure this was worthy of the final spot of the night to be honest but will be good seeing what comes of it.


OVERALL

Another enjoyable show and the shorter length with easier to digest segments was very much appreciated on my part. A lot of characters are being set up as strong since show one so it will be good when they start to face off against each other and we get less predictable outcomes in a lot of the matches. A lot of the slower burn characters are really starting to come into their own and we're starting to feel like a diverse and fun roster all round. Well done all!

Mum’s The Word: I didn’t review Amber Lee enough on 3, because I was involved in the writing process. However, here, in spite of errors and I take responsibility for that, April carried the load because I was busy with my mother, and it was difficult to sit down and co-write. For me, she did a hell of a job, added where Alfie needed to speak, and I think I’m a bigger fan of this segment than most/everyone who has read the show, which is probably a contrast to previous ‘Amber Button’ segments where people have enjoyed them more. Why did I probably enjoy this more? I wasn’t involved as much. I believed it would get bigger praise than it has, but that’s fine because April and I were both happy with it, and it continued ‘The Ship.’ Obrigado.

Hit That Alert Button: This started off as something I could envision as a rib, which I could go off on a tangent about, but I’ll save that for another time. Every time I see EZ Rah, I think he’s cool and a dick at the same time, and I’m delighted he’s on the roster. I’ve been a fan since Day 1, and I feel the character has enormous potential. Loved the battle on 3 when I read it, and I know something’s coming on this show, and this was great in its own right. I particularly like the way the segment ended, as well.

WAR: To think that it’s 2023 and Scott is still writing about Doritos. Mind you, it’s brilliantly written, and this might be my favourite in this show-long epic. More on it later.

A Dangerfield Moment: I heard about this segment several hours before deadline from Chris, and it made me smile while listening to the clip, making my way back from Valencia, having felt a bit sad. This MIGHT be my favourite Gemini segment, and that’s saying something. I thought it was marvellous. We need to get him back. When I asked Chris to use him, I didn’t think we were going to get this kind of material. I wish I could tell you otherwise. Brilliant.

Just For Kicks: You know that Rudolph song? Well, this is off to some start with me already! And it’s true. Rudolph’s a whore. The others don’t get a mention. It’s like MJ and The Jackson 5. Who cares about them? Nicely played, comparing that to one ‘Queen’ Bianca Davis, and I know the match is round the corner. I love how this segment was told from Saul’s point of view, and again, I envisioned stuff like this happening when I conceived GLOBAL. Great to see the vision and execution from someone else. Quality.

Principe v Queen: One bit of feedback here, and I’ll endeavour to make this clearer in the future: The Mark may act the goat, but he’d know who Angel Ramirez was, believe me.

However, getting that out of the way, why was this the opener? I followed the logic so many of my predecessors/peers do, and opted for a hot match in the role. This delivered that. I knew that as soon as I saw it backstage.

Another cracking entrance by ‘The Queen.’ To make up for what I said above, the commentary is on point early doors.

Nice reference to the Royal Rumble. I figure some would disapprove, but I’m fine with how you played it. Plus, continuing with that word, this match played very well to Bianca’s character, who you know inside out.

A very good match that highlighted both characters, had the right amount of oomph, didn’t outstay its welcome nor was it over ‘just like that’ and I anticipate Scott’s usual ‘gag.’

Well, yes, this is why I wanted you to write the opener on the first show, as well. My personal favourite of the night, and it was a toss-up on Domination 3 with Dream v Malta, so you’re on mighty fine form with segments AND matches. Carry on.


Make No Bones About It: The segment title lends itself to one revelation, really, doesn’t it? The hand-catching thing? TOTAL COINCIDENCE. When spotting the match, and knowing what Crusader X is capable of, I thought: Wouldn’t it be cool if he caught Kid Chameleon’s hand? Thought nothing more of it, read this segment and told Blair. HAD to add to it. Purely coincidental, but it turned out to well. This segment? Crusader X did well on 1 and 2, but 3 and 4 have elevated the character, I feel, for others from ‘Not sure about this’ to ‘This is a future main event character’ and that’s testament to the work Blair’s done. I don’t know if I prefer 3 or 4, but you know what? That doesn’t matter. They were both brilliant, breakout pieces in their own right and this revealed another side to the character while pushing him along. There’s a high ceiling for X.

Famine: Another superb piece for what it was. Should Doritos Man become an active character? This is the fed for it. Answers on a postcard.

The Dream Job: Ha, got you with you assuming it would be Daniel Dream, didn’t I? I thought it would. But, it works for Jabari too. Written by Hector, I simply did a sub-editor’s job and added the title. I know a few things about Jabari, but I reckon his position can add a lot to the presentation of the promotion and I’m already fond of August. Great dynamic these two guys have.

Daniel Dream v The Great Wall: Okay, I’ve read some comments here, and everyone is entitled to their opinion. I believe in feedback being constructive criticism as well as praise, and not a bunch of arse-kissing. I had a busy fortnight, so I delegated this match, and for what it’s worth, it achieved its purpose. I understand some of you feel TGW lost a lot of credibility, and hey, I’m not going to argue. But, and I’m not usually so cocksure of myself, I’ve rebuilt him more times than Bumble Bee and if I got him over with a win against Joe Public, I reckon I can rebuild him following a defeat to Daniel Dream, who this match was about. If I can’t, I can’t. But, this was all about ‘The American Patriot’ and I don’t regret a thing. So, keep slinging the mud on Discord And, I’m sorry to Hector for missing the advert. Plus, Jabari’s graphic – I got a kick out of it.

Old Man Yells At Cloud: Well-written as always, and indicative of the style. I look forward to more.

The Legend Speaks: Yes, he does, and every time it happens, he puts his opponent over. It was a good, solid segment and Brian does that with his eyes shut.

A Chat with The Master Sisters: OKAY. So, I thought Tobias interviewing VIP went well, but humbly, this blew it out of the water. Credit to Dogi for the questions and art. Let’s get that out there. I feel like different characters have had breakout segments on different shows, including Pierson and Crusader X on 3, and while The Master Sisters have definitely been entertaining, this was on another level. From start to finish, it was fucking fantastic and made me see the team in a totally different light. Awesome job. Pat on the back from me.

Starting The Fire: Valorie Vitality has been one of the most consistent characters in GLOBAL from 1 to 4, and bear in mind, guys, Courtney’s new to this hobby. She has got herself over, taken the reins with Jed and given him the most meaningful program of his ‘career’ and made this a much better angle than it was by producing some stellar stuff. I’m mightily impressed.

The Man Who Fell to Earth: I just feel when John Truth is in full flow, he’s going to be ‘out there’ and I relish seeing where that takes the writer, character and the fed in general. I honestly feel this place is a foil and forum to do that. Vamos a ver.

Strength Competition: MY FAULT. OKAY? RIGHT! On me, lads and lasses. Anyway, I knew where the segment was going the majority of time, and it was the right way, but I was constantly entertained throughout. It gave the feud a nudge in the right direction, like Aleczander may have done to Auggie, and into the go-home show, with this being a big part of why I’m looking forward to 5 so much. Plus, everyone’s challenge is to make 5 better than 4, like you did with 3 in comparison to 2. Final note on the segment? The commentary that closed it was SPOT ON.

Alex Reyn v Gemini: Being privy to how their first 2 matches finished, the match HAD TO start that way. Mixed feelings, though that’s nothing against Shae. Reyn showed his range of FINISHING HIM in a different way to VIP, doing it in short order, and getting Reyn over. However, I have really enjoyed Gemini. His main purpose, though? To get to this moment. Chris, well done. It took a while, but you got him there

Pestilence: Bleak outlook for the world, isn’t it? Again, this series probably deserves more coverage for him, but my ‘translator’ is particularly talented, and is bloody great at doing this, which is a major reason why he’s here and also why he should keep on doing his own personal writing at the same time.

Retirement Plans: I enjoyed one reference in particular. Anyway, a great ticking-over segment and this feels like it’s really leading somewhere for 5 or the PPV. I’ll check my Discord for confirmation.

A New Hope: The segment title was clear enough, even for me. So, here’s one from yours truly: One step for the tag teams involved, and one giant leap for the tag team division. Will that do?

EZ Rah v Alf Alferson: On the SAME SHOW when Reyn avenged those two shock defeats to Gemini, this happens?! I wish I could tell you it was intentional. I’m not completely useless, by the way. Just mostly.

Obviously, Alferson had very little to do with his success, and more importantly, it took EZ/Jerry to YET another level.
I sat back, expecting it to be entertaining, given how the feud has gone, what I enjoyed on 3, and some feedback in this thread. It didn’t disappoint. This feels like a blood feud in more ways than one.

The violence felt like it went up a notch compared to the usual, and that this was especially personal. Plus, it was FUN. I loved where the action spilled to, it was brutal, creative and so many more things. 3 and 4 has elevated so many characters and angles, and these 2, who were good anyway, have gone to another level. No pressure at the PPV, lads. It should be a banger, given what’s happened on 3 and 4, and 5? Try and top this.

Please.

Death: Is it? I don’t think so. When are we going to get another 2k out of you? Next arc? You can’t resist writing this character. Well done on your ‘Tour de Force,’ though. Terrific.

Physical Challenge Competition: SORRY! It was another great piece by Brian, who has turned this into a good, legitimate feud in its own right, and the PTA have been one of those consistently brilliant acts since that first showing with Tobias.

Prepare for Trouble: I can’t wait. Bring it on.

Overall: Not as good as 3, but I knew that would happen for quite a few reasons. It was a more digestible read, and that was a personal aim of mine. Now, without going 45k, ramp it up on 5 and whet the appetite for the PPV and answer the challenge of making the go-home show better than this. I’m not disappointed. Overall, I feel this was the 2nd best show overall, though 3rd in terms of matches. Look into that what you will. I’ll go into things more on THAT podcast when I re-record it, staying true to the original answers when I possibly can. I hope everyone’s enjoying things thus far.
